You need a hot, sunny day for this one. The challenge is to make an oven you can set out in the sun.
Materials: box/cardboard, tape, foil, you can throw in some plastic wrap, or use those throw-away plastic containers.
Lesson: Talk about heat of the sun, reflection, etc. and let them have at the design. They can give it a name and brand it too. (They put their dad’s black Crocs near, to help absorb heat near their ovens.)
When done, bake!
- Make s’mores.
- Put cupcake papers in it with some old crayon bits to melt into one round weird crayon.
- Make a mold with Play-doh and fill with crayon bits
